Art Eater (2023) is an acclaimed and provocative artwork. Composed of two seemingly unrelated concepts with a custom made super-resolution views, the visions generated during my tenure with the OpenAI Artist Developer Group using a proprietary model that is no longer accessible made it possible to realize this fine artwork. These two compositions, rooted in the same mathematical principle, initially appear as disparate perspectives but converge at their center, bleeding into one another in a striking display of self-consumption—an evocative image of art consuming itself. Literally and figuratively. The final piece was meticulously hand-crafted and manually edited together, fusing diverse art styles and conventions into a holistic work that both appreciates and critiques the art and technology of our times. By merging historical aesthetic practices with contemporary techniques, Art Eater (2023) challenges traditional boundaries while simultaneously engaging in a dialogue about the evolution of creative expression. Printed on German-made Hahnemühle Fine Art Matte Canvas and presented in a wooden frame, this artwork necessitates a refined setting to appropriately convey its meaning and aesthetic impact. In Art Eater (2023), the artwork's context is inherently self-referential, requiring no external purpose.
