Hello, I'm gretchenskommerartist.

I was born into a creative family that encouraged my artwork from an early age. I have a fine arts background from Bard College and a degree in art education from Long Island University. I enjoy painting still lives in acrylics on canvas using a painterly style​,​ creating a balance between pallette​,​ form and technique. I seek out images that appeal to my aesthetic. I'm drawn to lines and forms in nature as well as vintage cookware and hot beverages since I'm a coffee and tea lover. I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I loved creating them.
