'Vrojo' was created during an international art symposium in 2014 in La Herradura (southern Spain) where I live. Several painters from countries all over Europe painted live during the course of a week. The event took place in the town hall and was open to the public. 'Vrojo' depicts a flamenco dancer staring at the sunset on the beach. I was inspired to paint flamenco dancers during a performance of flamenco dance and music in the village where I live, This is in the province of Andalusia, which is the cradle of flamenco music and dance. I also invite art lovers to watch my art with their intuïtion. If what I create speaks to them, then my story will become their story (which can be a memory for example).
