"Ottanta Paura"

This work, in a first phase, was started in June 2020 in a euphoric, dazzling moment of an intuitive moment where everything was perfect. Where the combination, or rather the union of two elements, inspiration and color, give the best of that instant of life. That instant that will not be repeated that will never, never be the same as any other moment you will have experienced or will experience. And so two months later still mindful of that 'instant with brushes, colors, courage, colors and brushes and a personal "secret" ingredient I wanted to complete it. The result was markedly different from what I imagined, and as I quote a few lines above nothing is like before! THIS IS THE RESULT, this is the result no more and no less. Certainly it is high impact, black excel in abundance, yet every time I pass by it captures my attention and amazed at the result I walk that vortex to the center with my eyes and mind scrutinizing every detail, every nuance, every ripple of how the color has clung to the canvas; also intrigued as to what will be at the finish line. This painting was finished, like many others, late at night where in the seeming silence there is an infinite amount of dialogue, well, for the most part the titles of my works are born that way at the very moment I finish them or in the final stage. For Eighty Fears the title came from the fact that the next morning, with a clear mind looking at the painting made me Fear + the size of the canvas 80x80 = Eighty Fears.
