“Sweet Walk on a Gray Day” 40 x 40 inches is a one-of-a-kind original, modern landscape impressionist painting by Juanita Bellavance. In this nature inspired painting neutral green, gray and white create an aura of a peaceful day after a wonderful rain in Spring. About the artist: I begin my paintings with a certain amount of chaos. To create this I use colorful drawing media, write with graphite and then add splashes of acrylic paint. To bring order, balance and calm to the canvas I “blanket” the chaos with multiple layers of paint. Through this process, mystery emerges. Finally, the original chaos can be seen just enough to create interest without disturbing the solace of simplicity. Atlanta-based artist, Juanita Bellavance, uses her mastery of color and technique to create nature-inspired paintings that provide solace from life’s strife and turmoils. Her art is informed by her study of music and her connection to spirit.     Beginning artmaking later in her life, Juanita is largely self-taught and is inspired by masters such as Diebenkorn, J.M.W. Turner, Giorgio Morandi, William Thon and others. She is an internationally collected artist.
