“Illuminate” - Mixed Media, 36”x48” Gallery Wrapped Canvas The definition of illuminate is to light something up. My story of illuminate is this; Last year a dear friend of mine took me to a weekend women’s retreat. The purpose was to help us to realize how to live our best life, to live the life we were meant to live, fully with intention. I spent the weekend breaking down barriers formed around my heart from years of pain, anger and sadness. It was hard; we cried, we laughed, we meditated, we bonded. It was life changing. A few “Sage” women asked me one question. “What lights you up?” No one had ever asked me that! Well, I discovered that my son, art and meditation are the things that bring me immense joy. So I came home and I created this IG account. I began creating from my soul. I stood out of my way and I began living my truth. I haven’t stop painting since. A day doesn’t go by that I don’t hug my son tight, and everyday I meditate. I dedicate this work of art to three women: Anna, Gigi and Makena. You ladies are my angels. You know who you are. You’ve illuminated my life. ️
