Hanami

Hanami (literally "blossom watching" in Japanese) is the traditional Japanese custom of enjoying the beauty of cherry blossoms (Sakura) when they come into full bloom in late March/early April. The cherry blossom symbolizes by its fragility the magnificent and ephemeral nature of existence. Produced on canvas and stretched by hand, the work is protected by several layers of varnish to give it a smooth and shiny appearance. The acronym of the artist "LU" is present on the front of the work. The painting is also dated and signed on the back. A metal wire attachment system is present in order to be able to hang the work directly on the wall.
