Part of my Semi-realist series. I started this out by using cellophane plastic with very fluid acrylic colors which created the base texture and shapes. After the plastic wrap was lifted off I thought it looked a bit like a bamboo forest. (Many of my semi-realistic paintings started as a regular abstract but then 'turned' into something else). So I painted more layers emphasizing the bamboo forest look. Then I added the sunlight shining from behind.
