Afterglow 1 is a painting created with brushes and a pallet knife made during a period in which I painted a lot of women with masks. I believe we all wear a mask (which becomes kind of ironic in 2020) when we are out and in contact with other people. You might never truly know who you are talking to. This painting was created in the Netherlands before moving to Spain, during a difficult period in my life. I myself wasn't able, back then, to show my true personality. Are you? I created a similar painting with a woman laying down in the other direction (Afterglow 2). These paintings can be bought on their own or as a pair.
