This large scale brass, wood, steel, and mixed media sculpture seeks to explore not just the act of dreaming during sleep, but also nightmares, night terrors, the shifts in the dream state that leave you with a sense of terror, and fun. The artist chose to explore; how does a person who has trouble sleeping due to cognitive experiences work to normalize and desensitize the anxiety behind the lack of sleep? Is the recognition of collateral beauty a way to achieve control when dreaming?
