Art & Photography: His work is characterized by its focus on Irish heritage, nature, and fleeting moments of light. He has exhibited his art globally in cities such as New York, London, Paris, Dubai, and Beijing.
Journalism: He is a former journalist for the Associated Press, where he spent over 50 years in media and publishing.
Authorship: Truett has authored seven books, including the Mystical Moods of Ireland series, which features his photography accompanied by Irish blessings and folklore.

I see my art as a series of daily notes. These notes often reflect what I like to call seemingly ordinary activities, such as walking my dog.
It does not matter what season it is; nature constantly sends impulses in the form of shapes and colors, which I store in my subconscious. Swimming, for example, is a medium where with each dive I sketch ideas for a new plan or for developing an existing canvas.
Emotions constantly pulse through my work, adding another layer of energy that I need for self-expression.
