Hello, I'm Janusz T.
My name is Janusz Tworek, I live in Krakow, Poland and Tenerife. I have been an architect for almost 40 years. Like everyone who works in this profession, I am suspended between artistic sensitivity and engineering precision of thinking. In addition to drawing and painting, I made attempts in the field of ceramics and stained glass. I also work with photography for most of my life. The unique atmosphere of Tenerife, the openness of the local population promotes self-development and work on themselves. I am a self-taught painting. The awareness that one of the most outstanding contemporary painters, Francis Bacon, was also a self-taught person, gives me strength to work and artistic development. I am looking all the time, that's why I try my hand at realistic and abstract painting. In addition to painting, I still draw with pencil, charcoal and pastels. Sometimes I also use other techniques. It all makes me do things completely different, both in terms of mood and expression. Much depends on the atmosphere of the moment I'm in. While living in Tenerife, I met an exceptional person with typical Canarian kindness and cheerful spirit, the outstanding artist Javier Huerta. He is a professional and self-taught artist at the same time. Dozens of works that I have made are inspired by the contact with this unique artistic personality. I have exhibited my works in Europe, the USA and Canada. They were exhibited in both original and digital versions. I am most proud of the exhibition in Austria at the historic Villa Am Kaiserweg, where my works were presented alongside those of artists such as Claude Monet, David Hockney, Andy Warhol, Auguste Rodin, Salvador Dali, Gustav Klimt, Marc Chagall and Pablo Picasso.
