Hello, I'm Matteo S.

Born in Genoa in 1976​,​ he began his creative practice with the use of various materials including wood​,​ iron​,​ resin and acrylic paint. His first works are large abstract canvases made with acrylic and spray paint​,​ in the recent years he has concentrated on the denim abrasion technique he imagined​,​whit which he creates large canvases from which strongly material faces and deep gazes emerge. In his canvases there is marked contrast between the idea of time wearing things out and the concept of snapshots to which we are accustomed today. The texture of the jeans is abraded​,​ perforated and torn in a harmony of shape and lines from which energy and shine through.
