Hello, I'm Sumali Piyatissa.
Self-taught artist from Colombo, Sri Lanka. An accountant by profession. However, my journey as an artist started later on in life. Today, I'm an active artist, who develops my own style and artistic identity through abstract form. I enjoy experimenting with different colour palettes, texture and media. My work ranges from classic oil paints to mixed media techniques. The dominant style of my paintings is abstract and differs from traditional techniques to a blend of modern mixed media techniques. My inspiration is drawn from my travel, surroundings, the people I interact with and things that capture my eye. I try my best to represent freedom, joy and positivity through all of my work. I’ve exhibited my artwork on locally and internationally and currently selling my work on international platforms.
