Hello, I'm Christina Walsh.

Christina Walsh is an American Contemporary Abstract Artist born in Hollywood​,​ California​,​ she spent part of her childhood living in Sweden​,​ lending to further influences from a family of painters and sculptors​,​ always encouraged to explore different methods of artistic expression from portrait and landscape work​,​ to the more abstract ideas. The use of veils of color​,​ mixed media​,​ to prompt deeper ideas conjured by the juxtaposition of colour​,​ gestural​,​ geometric​,​ and biomorphic abstract symbols that help to create new ideas and emotion. Just as we find politics all around us​,​ I find that it comes through in my work as well. Sometimes as questions we need to ponder further​,​ -- ideas for the future and how we can be better as humans. It convinces me more and more to have hope that a more universal truth can be understood. Sometimes I start with colours and as I begin the background work​,​ the painting begins to reveal itself​,​where I started is often very different from where the painting ends​,​ and that journey is seen in the final piece. I think it is that journey that comes through in my work​,​ and how it continues to evolve and grow through the incredible influences by the abstract masters​,​ as well as the modern artists of the digital world of today.
