Hello, I'm Robert S.

I am an artist originally from New York​,​ currently residing in Brazil. My paintings reflect scenes that inspire me​,​ from the open farmlands of North America to a small seaport in South America. My journey as artist started back in Brooklyn​,​ New York​,​ drawing and doodling whenever I could. I have worked professionally as an illustrator​,​ and it wasn’t until later I began dabbling in paint where my passion for painting began. I found it liberating working in paints​,​ the movement of it and the mixing of colors​,​ bringing life to a particular scene or image. My goal of an artist is to capture a scene where we sometimes overlook​,​ whether the way the sunlight reflects on a doorway​,​ or the way trees seem like they are dancing in an open field.
