I find influence in a multitude of sources. I may use feelings​,​ emotions the events of life or even the marks or sounds of nature can determine a particular starting point or part of a painting. The first initial marks provide a substantial backbone to what transpires over the course of a painting. The work can control me forcing me to mix the paint directly on to the surface​,​ that gets manipulated into the end product.
