Hello, I'm Jodie W.

###### I am a 43 year old artist living in Toronto​,​ Canada. My career began as a graphic designer and since developed into a marketing​/​communications role. Currently focusing on inbound & outbound forms of automated marketing. In 2018​,​ after a 20 year hiatus from painting I felt absolutely compelled to start expressing myself again through art. As I develop a style​,​ my work has been experimental​,​ with conceptual cues from consciousness​,​ culture​,​ science & religion. I like to compare the playful interchange between positive ​/​ negative space​,​ and the intertwined relationship between introspection and extroversion within the spectrum of the human conscious experience. You look inward to see others​,​ and you look outward to view yourself. I strongly believe the impressions and consequent judgement I make about others are related to attributes that I would like to change within myself. Perhaps it is always most challenging to confront oneself​,​ and that is my ultimate artistic goal.
