Hello, I'm Iris Alkyone.

My name is Iris and I am a Greek artist based in the UK and Greece. I draw on canvas using acrylics​,​ but on many occasions I use different materials and structures in order to give my paintings more volume​,​ movement​,​ light or darkness. I love feeling the materials with my hands​,​ so many times I might leave my tools and brushes aside and allow to be guided by emotions through my fingers to the canvas. One image​,​ a thought​,​ optimism or pain might give me the spark I need to create something on the canvas. Every image is a story​,​ every color became a feeling​,​ parts of a life. Whoever is interested in one of my paintings and add it to their place​,​ it would make me more than happy to know that they are being a part of its story and magic​,​ as well as creating their own with it.
