Hello, I'm Edina Soós 'Edinarte'.

My art seeks to answer the question of how far it is possible to express ideas with abstract forms​,​ beyond the evocation of emotions. How much of a form has to be shown to evoke an idea​,​ an intuitive thought or any kind of meaning in the recipient. My work balances on the borderline between non-figurative and abstract mode of representation​,​ it means balancing between concealment and revelation. A constant theme of my paintings is evolution and birth​,​ whether it is the genesis of the universe​,​ the origin of life or the evolvement of a human being. I have a very strong desire to know the origin and I am preoccupied with questions about my own motherhood. This focus also stems from my subconscious contents emerging during creation​,​ from which I have developed a deeper self-awareness. I had five single exhibitions at cultural institutions and galleries in Budapest and participated in several group exhibitions​,​ including the ’Kunst 2021’ Contemporary Art Show in Berlin and Yicca Final Exhibition 22​/​23 in Rome. I was selected as first prize winner of Itsliquid International Contest 13th Edition​,​ finalist of Yicca International Contest of Contemporary Art 22​/​23​,​ Special Prize winner of Globaltalent Artprize and Merit Prize winner of Art Show International.
