Hello, I'm Sam Z.

Sam Zin is an abstract painter and currently based in Batu Pahat Johor Malaysia. 2010 graduate of University Tenaga Nasional. He grew up in a ghetto hood where surrounded with street culture and love much on music. He stirs both music and colors that gave a huge impact on his art later in life. His abstract painting are inspired by his inner consciousness. What emerges on the canvas is an internal language that is highly emotional and personal​,​ yet at the same time universal. It speaks of places unseen​,​ but at the same time comforting and familiar​,​ like memories of a place we feel we have been before​,​ but can't quite recall all the details of the experience. Much like memories​,​ each of his painting is filled with layer upon layer of paint​,​ building a rich history into each piece. His painting is alive with emotion through the movement of the brushwork and the luscious layered colors. His abstract mostly using the acrylic​,​ tempera​,​ mixed technique​,​ pastel​,​ oil paint on canvas and paper.
