Hello, I'm Liane D.

Born in Luxembourg​,​ and raised on a farm in South Africa​,​ I attended the Johannesburg School of art where I gained a Fine Arts and Teaching Diploma. I was an exhibiting and commissioned artist at the Everard Read Gallery in Johannesburg for approximately ten years. Commissions include; large paintings for SunInternational​,​ artwork for the Blue Train​,​ theme painting for the the popular SA sitcom 'Suburban Bliss'​,​ and portrait commission of Saira Essa​,​ 'Woman of the Year' for the Star Newspaper. I have also been commissioned to paint numerous portraits. I love painting people​,​ either singularly or in groups. They tell a story​,​ and become portals for a mysterious and beguiling world.
