Hello, I'm Gyuri Heart.
My artistic expression is truly unique, thanks to my deep connection to spirituality and love. This connection has guided me towards cultivating an authentic and individual style that is certain to make a bold impression. If you are looking for something truly different and inspiring, my art will undoubtedly leave an unforgettable impression. About me "Gyuri" is a Korean name that was given to me during my one-year stay in Seoul. At that time, the people around me encouraged me to pursue my passion for art and sell my work. The word "Heart" means that I share my work with my soul, my heart, and utilize my skills and knowledge to create my masterpieces. As an artist, I believe that it is our power to have a connection to our heart and sensitivity, with the objective of sharing, supporting, and healing the people around us. However, I was taught that I had to control everything around me and that following my artistic dream was not worth it. Taking a step back, I realized that there is a general fear of the unknown and risk. Hence, everything must be rational and dictated by norms and beliefs that limit our potential. Nevertheless, the beauty of art and creation is far more attractive to me. This brings me to deconstruct every thought and belief that hinders me from discovering my art and my life. About my art As an artist, I believe that inspiration can be found in everything around us. For me, music, encounters and life's unexpected events play a huge role in my creations. My work has a spiritual element to it, which is why I find myself drawn to religious paintings from the Middle Ages to the Italian Renaissance, and painters like Nicolas Poussin. These works inspire me to create my own compositions, and I often use touches of gold in my art. The gold adds a sacred and precious touch that is unique to my work. My paintings are centered around women, and it's essential for me to talk about them and what they represent. My intention is to challenge the viewer's beliefs and make them think about what they see, rather than simply accepting what they believe. The female body is still a controversial subject, which is why my work sometimes provokes derogatory remarks and censorship on social media. But it also sparks admiration and goodwill. Our perceptions of what is proper and acceptable are still influenced by religion, and I don't blame anyone for it. But I urge everyone to think about what they are seeing and what they believe. Why do they hold certain beliefs? Why not question everything? Seeing things differently can lead to greater peace of mind and new ideas. Nature shows us this every day. It teaches us to accept the natural, circular rhythm of life. Sometimes we get lost in our past and forget to live in the present. We hope that the future will be the same as the past, but this is not always the case. Seeing things differently can be seen as a loss of privilege, but it can also lead to greater serenity. We need to recognize that nature shows us this every day, and it's crucial for us to accept this natural, circular rhythm.
