Hello, I'm Rick C.

Hello. I am an American artist living in Colombia​,​ since 2016. In the USA my art business was a mix of decorative wall finishes​,​ murals and gallery paintings​,​ pastel and acrylic. My life before forming my art business consisted of employment in the graphic arts and publishing world. My painting focus in Colombia is in abstract expressionism. When living and creating art in the USA​,​ I especially enjoyed depicting local architecture and scenes throughout the USA. Much the same subject matter was undertaken​,​ when I lived and painted in Ukraine. However​,​ upon relocating in 2016 to Colombia I decided to shift my painting emphasis to abstract expressionism. Quite a change of direction​,​ but this change has been very refreshing​,​ fascinating and stimulating. So since late 2016 my primary focus has been in the world of abstract painting. Now I have an inventory of over 40 abstract paintings and the inventory keeps growing. In September​,​ 2020 I will begin experimenting with cold wax and oil paint techniques in the area of abstract expressionism. This is a very exciting and intriguing. Watch for my future work in this technique. As well to note I have plans for Colombian exhibitions of my abstracts​,​ in 2021. I continue to live in beautiful​,​ diverse Medellin​,​ Colombia. Arrived October​,​ 2016 and truly enjoy and now realize the great potential for creative release in such an energized​,​ stimulating environment and friendly culture.
