“Visually challenging and letting go of inspiration is good for the soul. Through my artwork​,​ I try to bring the interior out. I want my women and my horses to be creations that look like they could have lived or grown somewhere. Living with beautiful objects that pay homage to the natural world reminds us that we must slow down and helps us reconnect with nature. My theme is the woman and the horse. I celebrate strength​,​ beauty​,​ and nobility. I use traditional materials​,​ acrylics​,​ pastel​,​ newspaper​,​ markers​,​ to capture feelings and life​,​ making the eyes speak and the background catches you in the detail. Looking beyond obvious and close observation and engagement of the topic is my process. The challenge is to see beyond the distraction of the conspicuous to capture your unique being. My goal is to inspire those who see my work to look more closely at the world around them​,​ think about it​,​ value it and discover the beauty and delicacy that is in them."
