Welcome to The High Art House - A Modern Gallery of Abstract Art. Linda is an abstract painter that currently resides in Richmond​,​ VA. She is full of passion and needs to create her artwork. In February of 2021​,​ she survived an almost fatal brain aneurysm. She has been in recovery since March of 2021. For her​,​ painting is a way to escape her reality. Her art making gives her life again. When she paints her abstractions​,​ she gets lost in the process and forgets about all the hard work she has had to endure during this recovery. Linda's methods are whimsical and experimental. She allows the first few brush strokes to tell the story that the painting wants to tell. Her inspiration comes from the beauty of nature​,​ deep feelings​,​ the wonders of the universe​,​ and obscure music. Her abstractions are full of bold colors​,​ thick textures and complex details. Each piece is named from her own imagination. She believes that abstract art should be named abstractly. Her art work is untamed and eccentric​,​ much like her. Linda believes her paintings are either a window or a mirror​,​ depending on the eye of the beholder. She hopes that her paintings makes you look inward and find that deep connection to positivity in your life. She wants her abstractions to be inspiring so you can step into new worlds and experience life with true freedom.
