Hello, I'm Iris Van z.

Iris van Zanten (1971) graduated in 1996 at the Academy of Visual Arts in Amsterdam and gets her Master​,​ History of Art at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. Inspired by Bible stories and Romanesque art she is looking for new Images telling a certain story. Are you afraid of colour? She is working with pigments and water. For giving the pigments a ‘hold’ she prepared the surfaces with sand​,​ boneglue and Van Dycke Brown. This technique gives a softness to the painting and of course a bright color.
