Stormy Sea Sublime is one of my favourite ink paintings. It captures the atmosphere of a turbulent sea. It is fairly dark, using many hues in the blue range, which are ideal for the subject. The colour palette and composition convey the rather oppressive, yet majestic and sublime ambiance of a storm at sea. My favoured, rather unpredictable, wet on wet method, works well here to mimic the volatile nature of a wild sea.
