This is part of my ongoing semi-realistic, contemporary painting series of 2024. I enjoy mixing some abstract feeling in a loose realistic scene. The scene is a made up image based on many hikes in the mountains and valleys of the state of Washington. Even in my abstracts I try to convey a feeling of atmosphere and depth. I love to play warm against cool, lines against spots of color and create a sense of light.
