This painting is made in an expressive, abstract style, but you can immediately see the connection to flowers. The background is mostly kept very subtle, while the flowers are worked in l, white and pink with some thick application of paint. An elegant balance is created with which the active movements and lines give the painting its meaning. Great effects were achieved with just a few colors. Several layers of oil paint were applied with a large brush and spatula. The artist's goal was to create something alive that evokes reactions and feelings in the viewer.
