Kaleidoscope of Whirlwinds

How can siblings possess such polarised personalities and yet still manage to concoct a vibrant kaleidoscope of harmony? My painting depicts the fiery and complex chemistry of family relationships. Each one of us is like a typhoon - spinning at varying velocities, unpredictably intensifying and diffusing, twisting erratically, sporadically colliding and occasionally swirling together in graceful synchronisation. Each of us is made up of a unique energy force, embodying different levels of passion, rage, kindness, indulgence, determination, recklessness, sensitivity, narcissism… Whilst we do have similarities, our personalities are mostly polarised, our thoughts, aspirations and expectations of life are distinctly different, even though we were born from the same parents and brought up in similar surroundings. And yet we siblings have a striking physical resemblance! Despite our extreme contrasts in character traits, like the whirls in my painting we instinctively strive to blend in with each other, occasionally concocting vivacioius colours and creating fresh tempos which somehow evolves into an amazingly vibrant kaleidoscope of harmony.
