Born through my watercolour and ink studies of the city of Bath, Somerset, the accentuated colour ranges from the dark sky and the stone buildings offer up a rich narrative. There's expression in every area. The paint was applied with a knife and lots of primary colours to encourage high contrast and depth. The original canvas is highly textured and layered.
