Desert Paths

This painting was inspired by a walk in Joshua Tree, California. The desert seems like a magical place to me -- the way the sand looks so absurdly soft despite being grains of quartz, the way eyes of critters seem to follow you no matter what direction you chose... When wandering Joshua Tree one day, choosing which path to take was more challenging than just picking left or right - it felt as if I had to pick my destiny with each step. With every footstep I could almost feel the desert whisper that I would find something special just around the next corner. Merely walking and choosing kept me feeling connected to something much bigger than myself. 26"x20"; inks & glitter on synthetic paper; frame not included. Ships rolled in a tube.
