Mary was painted as part of a series of angel paintings. I created a number of larger paintings, but also 33 smaller paintings, specifically for an Angel oracle card deck. https://memoments.renatevannijen.com/ I wanted to create some lighthearted, positive, paintings, that will make you feel happy. These paintings were created with both brushes and pallet knives and I incorporated some glitter into the artwork which you will only see when the lights fall on it from a certain angle. This in my view creates a mysterious and happy feel. I usually mix directly on the canvas, not looking for perfection but seeking the perfection within the imperfection.
