The Deer at Winters Edge

The Deer at Winters Edge is semi abstract oil painting of deer stags in an autumn landscape turning into winter. It is 36x36x1.5 inches. The painting shows a view through trees with the winter sun shining through them and a group of fallow deer bucks at the edge of their shadows. Behind the deer, you can see a meadow and more trees in the distance. This is a magic time of year for the deer and the painting reflects this slightly ethereal feeling. The dominant colours are purple, orange magenta, red and light green. The landscape is based on a place near The Ashdown Forest in Sussex and the deer are part of a group I see regularly there. The painting explodes out of the canvas giving the impression that landscape and deer are materializing out of it. The sides are deep edge dark purple, does not need a frame, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity and gifts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CS6GoIdeYAk
