Inspirational for this painting was this white horse’s powerful stance and beautiful form. To express motion and emotion, I applied playful brushstrokes and palette knife applications using contrasting color combinations. My palette includes magenta, iridescent gold, a variety of blues and greens, white and black. There is also a hint of red, which helps the shape of the horse stand out from the darker background.
