"Promesse"" is a unique and original contemporary work of art made with acrylic paint and spray on linen canvas, stretched on a lockable frame.
This portrait is a moving and expressive representation that captures a woman’s state of mind through the metaphor of the flower. Beauty, fragility, delicacy and strength are highlighted. I wanted here to reveal the emotion of a moment. The diverse touches of acrylic and bomb, with drips, spreading, splashing and empatements, create both a harmony and a duality of strength and fragility symbolized by the woman and the flower.
I invite questions about what we show the world and what we keep in ourselves, about our inner conflicts and our hopes. The pink and blue shades that add a touch of poetry and softness to the work are contrasted by expressive touches to emphasize the ambivalence between subtlety and intensity.
